[About T2A]

The Taiwan Tilapia Alliance (T2A) is a non-profit and non-government organization established to coordinate and collaborate with national and international tilapia activities and efforts; to promote Taiwan’s tilapia industry to become more environmentally friendly, socially acceptable, economically viable, technically appropriate, and market responsive. The alliance was formed on February 19, 2002.
The Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Executive Committee of the T2A are responsible for addressing policy issues and reviewing projects. There are nine committee members who all come from industry representing various fields of farming, processing, and trade. Day to day business is carried out by the T2A Secretariat, hosted by the Institute of Applied Economics, National Taiwan Ocean University, Taiwan. The duties of the Secretariat include assisting in Executive Committee meetings, publishing the T2A Yearbook, T2A Newsletter, and T2A Membership Directory, maintaining the T2A web site and membership database, facilitating communication and cooperation among alliance members, conducting government funded projects, and other administrative activities. Currently, our members include tilapia breeders, farmers, processors, packers, traders, marketers, feed manufacturers, equipment suppliers, service providers, and researchers of tilapia products in Taiwan.

[Mission]
The mission of the Taiwan Tilapia Alliance (T2A) is to promote competitiveness and profitability of its members by pooling the resources from the industry, government, academia, and research institutes to foster cooperation regarding production, product and quality certification, research and development, marketing, and information sharing; to contribute to economic viability and sustainability by providing a mechanism that serves to assimilate and disseminate relevant information, facilitate communications, and coordinate information exchanges among alliance members, governmental agencies, and other domestic and foreign organizations.

Currently, our members include tilapia breeders, farmers, processors, packers, traders, marketers, feed manufacturers, equipment suppliers, service providers, and researchers of tilapia products in Taiwan.
